The Copper Canyon train is considered one of the great train rides of the world. We’ll ride the train as it winds from the Pacific Coast to the Copper Canyon, located in the Sierra Madre Mountains, passing over 37 bridges and 86 tunnels along the way! We’ll explore and photograph the areas around the rim of the canyon in the towns of Creel and Divisadero and photograph the famous Tarahumara Indians who inhabit the area, and document their way of life. We’ll also journey down inside the Canyon to the charming town of Batopilas located over 6,000 feet below on the Batopilas River. We’ll have the opportunity to explore the area at the bottom of the canyon and visit the Satevo Mission Church, located about 5 miles down the river from Batopilas.
